Vancouver, British Columbia. Status Fitness Magazine was front and center capturing highlights from the inaugural 2015 Vancouver Pro Show at the Vancouver Conference Center on the waterfront of this beautiful destination city. Promoter IFBB Pro Michelle Krack, along with an army of efficient volunteers, made the weekend one to remember. Everyone Status Fitness spoke with - including competitors - pros and amateurs, fans, and exhibitors - were amazed by the event and are eager for 2016. Many of the pros told us this was the most organized event they have competed in and they were treated like royalty.

Many of the pros told us this was the most organized event they have competed in and they were treated like royalty.

The Status Fitness team was lead by Editor-in-Chief Rodney Jang who was busy attending select meetings, chatting with many current top athletes, up and coming athletes and sharing industry insights over this three day event. Status Fitness head photographer David Ford was photographing many of the pros over the weekend, as well as the pro finals. He also found time to visit with many friends and exhibitors and shot some short video seen at the bottom of this special news item. Status Fitness Talent and Athletic Manager Angela Anoliefoh enjoyed her experience meeting many new models and athletes. If you are an up and coming model, Angela is the person you need to connect with. (She can be contacted through email, listed on this site in the About Us section.) Status Fitness photographer and videographer Ali Sohrab video taped the entire event beginning his weekend at registration on Friday night. Be sure to watch this website for Ali's competition video.

The Pro Fitness category was very entertaining. Tanji Johnson (photo below) looked as if she was in fast forward once again as she smoothly and elegantly covered the stage floor. There is definitely athleticism coursing through Tanji's veins. She makes everything look effortless and does it with a smile. I was impressed with Chika Aluka from Nigeria (photo below) who presented an amazing physique and performed a stellar routine and also with Canadian Brittany Kanne (photo below) who, for someone so young, presented one of the most advanced physiques in the division and performed a very entertaining routine. (For final placements, see bottom of the page)

Women's Physique category saw a wide range of talent from as far away as Korea and Brazil. This was a competitive class from top to bottom.

The Pro Women's Physique category saw a wide range of talent from as far away as Korea and Brazil. This was a competitive class from top to bottom. I hadn't seen Leah Johnson (photo below) compete before and was very impressed with this Nova Scotia resident. A beautiful girl, that possessed a very aestheticly pleasing physique, Leah was extremely excited to qualify for the Olympia stage in Las Vegas in September of this year. Popular Fitness Pro, Jodi Boam (photo below) moved into the Physique class this year and delivered a beautifully choreographed routine. I was waiting for her to break out a few more "fitness" moves but was still very impressed. As she continues to develop her legs, watch for Jodi to move up the rankings in the pro division. Kristina Dybdahl-Farnsworth was on point taking third place and the graceful Yeonwoo Ji (photo below) from Korea placed just ahead of popular BC competitor Athena Siganakis (photo below) who looked great in fifth. Tamara Qureshi (photo below) made her Pro debut in Vancouver, looking fantastic and presenting a complete package. Watch for Tamara to move up in placements as she gains more experience on the pro stage. Popular BC pro Jeni Brisco (photo below) also brought a strong package to stage but in the end had to settle for seventh position. As I stated earlier, this was a very competitive class. (For final placements, see bottom of the page)

In the Pro Figure category, I was especially impressed with two competitors, Swann Delarosa of White Plains, New York and Canadian Erin Harding (photo below). Both girls were beautiful in appearance and brought well conditioned physiques that were marketable to the mainstream. Although Erin placed outside the top five, I would personally have had her in a higher position. Leah Berti brought her best package to date to the stage, however, failed to ease in to the top five. The young Azaria Glaim made an impression inching into the top five. (For final placements, see bottom of the page)

Alla Semenova has incredible lines and wowed the judges and audience alike with a very graceful, polished presentation.

In Pro Bikini, Alla Semenova (photo below) was the clear winner. This Ukrainian beauty has incredible lines and wowed the judges and audience alike with a very graceful, polished presentation. She was a perfect combination of muscularity and conditioning. In second place was Francesca Lauren who, like Alla, brought a well conditioned, muscular physique to the stage. The next three positions in the top five were awarded to Sofia Tandilian, Liana Moroz and the always beautiful Leigh Brandt (photo below) who was Canada's first IFBB Bikini pro. Placements six through sixteen saw a wide variety of physiques. Juliane Andrade may have been slightly too hard for the judges but that is strictly speculative. Eboney Chipman has what I like to call, a "superhero" physique with crazy proportions and it is very likely the judges didn't know how to handle someone with her look. Nicole Virnig (photo below) was one of the most marketable girls in the class and presented a beautiful combination of conditioning and muscularity. Nicole will be gracing many magazine pages in the coming years and has a look that could easily land her multiple industry covers. I will definitely be keeping an eye on her to see where her career takes her. Annette DeLaRosa (photo below) was new to me, but she has a remarkably striking look and a beautiful air about her. Watch for her to place higher in future shows. Diana Graham will be one to watch at future shows. She has a lot of potential but needs to come in a fair bit more conditioned to move higher. (photo below)  (For final placements, see bottom of the page).

Nicole Virnig will be gracing many magazine pages in the coming years and has a look that could easily land her multiple industry covers.

Thank you once again to promoter Michelle Krack for putting on an amazing event. If you missed it this year, be sure to schedule it in your calendar in 2016. I strongly feel this event will grow expontentially over the next few years into the largest in Canada.
