November is already here, I can’t believe it. When you have so many things you want to do, the time just seems to fly by. I have been trying to build a tent to put Jane (My 2010 2SS Camaro) in for almost 3 months! We had a ton of rain lately and it really delayed the project. I had to dig out my driveway, pave it, build a wall, and now FINALLY I built 85% of the tent yesterday with my brother. It took us 8 hours just to do 85% because it is a heavy duty tent made to handle heavy snowfall. But it needs to get done and I am the kind of person who can’t totally focus on one thing if I have other important tasks that need to be done in the back of my mind. Last week I found myself in Miami this year again with my girlfriend for Halloween and it rained the whole weekend. But, I guess that was better than the 2 feet of snow we got back home. Snow on Halloween? Talk about a horrible night of trick or treating!! That is unheard of! So I am hoping tomorrow will be the last day to finally finish it so I can start my double sessions again.
I have noticed as I have been doing more of the strength moves that my body is just too tight. Even my deadlifting form is a bit off because of my hips. The left side of my body is usually tighter than my right. I think it is due to an old car accident injury when I was rear-ended and twisted my spine a bit. With my new found focus though, all this extra stretching and focus should take care of that!
I have already noticed some bulk come to my body since the increase in calories and training. I attached a photo above for you to check out. My quads are PUMPED!! But the calves still need more time.
This is the routine I will be doing tomorrow after I BSN N.O.-Xplode it to the MAX!
4 sets per exercise
8-10 reps per set
60-90 second rest between sets
Squats
Deadlifts
Romanian Deadlifts
Single-Leg Squats
Seated Calf Raise
Leg Press
Believe it or not the exercise I struggle with the most is the “Single-Leg Squat”. I can do the exercise, but the balance on my right leg is spotty at times. When I was in college I was going for my weekly run and all of a sudden I felt a POP in my hamstring and my whole leg went numb. It was never the same after that. It always would feel weak and like it needed to be stretched but would never feel “normal” no matter how much attention I gave it. Then 4 years later I met a massage therapist at my gym “Answer Is Fitness” and he explained to me that sometimes if you pull your hamstring it can adhease to itself. After a couple months of some intense deep tissue therapy where I could actually FEEL the muscles being separated (felt amazing and horrible at the same time) I finally felt back to normal, but the damage was done and over time it had gotten better, but I want it to be 100%, not 90%. With that being said, I am PUMPED to show my right leg who the boss is tomorrow!
