Don’t get caught up – Money doesn’t by happiness

I thought this was most appropriate given the recent passing of Whitney Houston. I remember growing up and listening to her thinking she had the perfect life. She was talented, beautiful, had a great fashion sense, could dance, and of course was the most outstanding singer of all.  Like many teenage girls, we wished we were in her shoes. I would dance around my bedroom singing “ I want to dance with somebody” LOL …To the world she had it all .  We always think the grass is greener on the other side.

It’s unfortunate, that someone with such a gift of talent has been taken away from this earth. It isn’t uncommon for those in the showbiz world get “caught up” with the fame and fortune that surrounds them. Whitney upon meeting Bobby Brown, made some poor decisions, that led her derailment in life and the choices she made. It’s unfortunate as she was an icon and role model for many. Point being, money doesn’t by happiness. Whitney had money, fame, fortune, but she didn’t have the happiness she always wanted. Happiness comes with having your personal belief, confidence and value in yourself. It comes within. It doesn’t come with the external material items that we all wish, want and seek.
