HOME WORKOUTS WORK TOO!!

Three days into 2012.  Have you been sticking to your Resolutions of working out daily? Let me guess, you drove to the gym and it was PACKED. Nowhere to park. Oh well, tomorrow…

 

Don’t give up just yet.  You can get a heck of a workout in the comfort of your own home, and you don’t need a thing! You can work your upper body, lower body and your core AND get a cardio blast without taking off your pyjamas (though I recommend that you do)!  Below is just a short list of some of the exercises you can do to get your 2012 off to a good start.

 


UPPER BODY:

Push ups* 

Dips

Dynamic planks

Marine grippers

Shadow boxing

Bicep curls**

Shoulder press**

 

LOWER BODY:

Squat* 

Lunge* 

Leg Lifts

Butt Blasters

Wall sits

 

CORE:

Back extensions

Superman

Planks

Abdominal crunches*

 

PLYOMETRIC MOVEMENTS:

Jump squat

Jump lunge

Jumping jack

Run stairs

Lateral jumps

High Knees


 

*and MANY variations thereof

** use household items like soup cans or water bottles for resistance
