Hi Status Fitness friends! Just to let you know HOW MUCH I LOVE Status Fitness, that I brought several copies of their premiere issue to share with my business partners on my LA trip! Los Angeles this past week was a great trip rammed jammed with non stop meetings, appointments, and photo shoots for the top fitness magazine covers. I stayed at the Peninsula Hotel which was absolutely stoic and gorgeous beyond words. Beverly Hills was a fun place to visit for a week, as I had some very important business meetings there, and some people who wanted to see me as well.
Work wise, I shot with top fitness model photographer Stewart Volland, who shoots a bunch of Oxygen Magazine covers, and has worked with Oxygen magazine for a long time. It was great to see him, and he helped me "perfect" my magazine cover poses, with my new dancing shuffle that I do with my feet. This dancing shuffle helped me not to get too stale in my poses, and keep my energy fresh. THANKS STEW FOR MAKING ME LOOK SO GOOD! :) And also a big THANK YOU to Nancy Jambazian who did an excellent job on my hair and make up! You are so wonderful, and a sweet person.
I had the pleasure of Rob Riches coming over to film the entire production as well as an Ab Circle Pro spot for me to use as a marketing and educational vid. He is always so much fun to be around and its truly talented and loves what he does. Thanks Rob! LA does have some great restaurant spots, and I made sure to eat at Wolfgang Pucks legendary restaurant Spagos, as well as Chef Gorden Ramsey's restaurant called London. My best friend Marli went with me, and she is always so prepared and pleasant to be around! She helped to style my outfits, my photo shoots, and also organize me for my meetings. That's another super fitness model secret-try to travel with someone who is there to help you, not hinder you. Marli is an angel to me, and she makes my trips just that much more funner,
We also had the chance to eat at the Ivy, which is a very well known restaurant, and you are always bound to see someone famous there. The food was great, and yes ing (THANK YOU BSN CHEATERS RELIEF!!!) I also had the pleasure of meeting with the head of Marketing over at the My Space Head Quarters in LA, and she gave me some great tips on how to keep in touch with my friends on My Space, how to increase my fan base, and also how to do some cool new social networking things with My Space here in the near future. At the airport, I could not believe that I was standing behind one of the worlds most successful models/actresses. Brook Shields is more lovelier in person than on TV or in print ads. I could not of passed up the opportunity to hand her my book "The Mind Bod and Soul " which she took with a smile and said thank you. This past week as you can see was a whirlwind of media events, photo shoots, and meetings. I am grateful for my loving husband and kids, (who enjoyed a boys week of cook guy things to do) who support me when I'm away working. I'm also grateful for BSN's supplements which allow me to maintain my fitness goals while traveling, especially the Fit Stack.
Make sure you visit back next week, once I tell you a little bit more about my cool services called "Train with JNL", where you get the rare opportunity to train with me one one.
Believe,
JNL
