Being on the cover of Status: Landing the cover of such an elite fitness magazine would be a dream come true! I live, breathe, and sleep training and being a fit female. I want to lead by example and inspire people to become the best versions of themselves =)
Bio: I am a 27 year- old athlete and fitness coach. I hold the overall women's title in powerlifting in Newfoundland & Labrador. Also, I am a professional bikini and fitness model with the Ultimate Fitness Events (UFE) organization. I love training fast and heavy and love the feeling of empowerment being a strong woman gives me. I am passionate about helping
others achieve their fitness goals and passionate about spreading the message that 'strong is the new skinny!'
'If you dream it you can achieve it.' -Walt Disney
"Strong is the New Skinny."
Nutrition / Supplements:
I am a believer in eating lots of food! A common misconception is that being lean means minimal food; in actual fact, the opposite is true. Fuelling your body with the right foods is essential. I eat 6 times a day and include lean proteins, veggies, and good carbs.
Supplements: X-tend, Whey protein, Clarex
Training: I train fast and heavy! I don't do hours of boring "cardio", I use sprints and sled work for my cardio and do it in short, fast bursts. As for weights I lift heavy! I train 5 days a week and allow my body recovery time for the other 2.
What separates Status from any other fitness magazine: Status magazine is aimed at both male and female athletes, which is great! Being a trainer I like reading about what works and what doesn't for both sexes. Also the expert advice and training tips given by this magazine are amazing.
