SPORTSMANSHIP: THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE WINNER

I think that sportsmanship shows your true colors more than anything.  Like the title says, there can only be one winner.  In the physique sports, the judges are only able to award one first place.  That doesn’t mean that several people on stage shouldn’t be winners.  It’s just the way it goes.

So you think you should have won, but you didn’t.  You have two choices:  to be a good sport or to be a jerk.  And you’re still a winner if you choose to be a good sport.  Accept your placing (whether you agree or not, it is your choice to compete in a judged sport), ask for feedback from the judges (what would have put you first?) and move on.

Throwing your trophy, muttering profanities under your breath and trash-talking whoever beat you just proves that you’re a loser. You don’t deserve to win if you’re being a jackass.
